Harvest crops in accordance with standards and hygiene rules. Identify problems with crops or products and find ways to ensure their health. Move products, materials and supplies from one area to another. Training will be provided. Starting wage rate $11.35/hour

The positions require repetitive motion, handling heavy loads (up to 45 kgs) and are physically demanding. Extended periods of time standing, bending, crouching and kneeling is required. Work is seasonal with overtime and weekends may be required.

Responsible for sections of the Greenhouse in all phases of operations. Monitoring of water waste. Management of all environmental, irrigation and fertilization controls. Labor force cost management against budget. Preparation and tracing of production costs. Conduct meetings with greenhouse staff on a regular basis & participate in Facility Manager meetings. Communicate with senior management on all aspects of the greenhouse. Oversee bee and biological control programs.
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field; and three (3) years progressive post-baccalaureate work experience. At least two years of experience must include labor/supervisory experience. Texas Private Pesticide Applicator License required. Experience must also include demonstrable knowledge of: • Greenhouse management, including “semi-cooled” or closed greenhouses; • Synopta environmental software; and • Productive Labor Tracking system.
